Our Love Story...
Jason and I met a few months short of our senior year ending in high school. Our graduating class was about 1,000 kids so you can understand how our paths never really crossed.
My maid of honor has known Jason since they were in grade school. One night at a football game Elyn introduced us. A quick introduction and we continued our night. He later told me he had seen me since sophomore year but was too shy. I didn’t think anything of it until I started seeing him hanging around my friends more often since that night. I wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time and didn’t suspect anything until he started walking me to classes, making me origami birds with notes, and trying to spend as much time as he could with me and my friends. The summer before college we were inseparable. Jason kept trying to pursue a relationship, luckily he was very patient, but I wanted to stay friends.
Finally, in October 2014, I said yes to being his girlfriend! Since then we have been together through college degrees, turning a house into a home, standing together with loss, and loving two pups.

In March of 2021, Jason and I decided to take a road trip to Sitting Bull Falls for a hike. At the top of the waterfall, Jason got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. We had been discussing marriage and I knew he was going to propose within the upcoming year, but was caught by complete surprise since we had been so busy and I didn’t think he would have had time to speak to my father before our trip. Secretly, he found time to do so!
I knew Jason was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with when I saw how selfless he was and how alive he made me feel. Jason and I are complete opposites, I’m a realist and he’s a dreamer, but I’ve seen my world shift. I now dream because I have seen him make the impossible, possible. I now reach for the stars because I’ve seen him conquer a whole universe. I knew we had the world at our feet and it had only just begun.
Reception...
Grace Gardens made our dream wedding come true! The whole day ran without a hitch. We knew we were in good hands with constant communication. The staff was very patient and willing to work with our vision and took the time to ensure everything was perfect that day. Thank you Grace Gardens for our perfect wedding day!
